Minimum age
The minimum gambling age is 19 in most provinces, and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Operators set their own age gate on top of that, and some require 19+ everywhere. If you are under the age for your province, do not register. Casinos are entitled to void accounts and winnings.
Why we leave out Ontario
Ontario operates a regulated internet gaming market overseen by iGaming Ontario and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission. Operators in that market are licensed to Ontario rules, including advertising standards. We do not target Ontario with bonus listings. If you live in Ontario, use sites regulated by iGaming Ontario, and see ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600) for free support.
What to look for in an operator's terms
- A list of restricted or excluded jurisdictions, with your province named or not.
- The licensing body and a number you can look up.
- A currency policy. Offers in euros or USDT involve conversion, and your bank may charge a foreign-transaction fee.
- Dispute and complaint contacts, including an external body.
Provincial markets
Several provinces run their own sites: for example British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba and Atlantic provinces each have a provincial lottery corporation with an online casino. Those sites run their own promotions on their own terms. They are not comparable to offshore offers, and the player protections differ. If your province offers a provincial site, it is worth knowing it exists.
What you lose outside a licensed local market
Licensed local operators are subject to provincial oversight, complaint routes and dispute resolution. An operator outside your province's licensing framework may offer bigger headlines, but you may have fewer practical remedies if payment is delayed or a bonus is voided. This is a trade-off, not a verdict. Weigh it and read the terms.
Where to get help
Free, confidential support exists in every province: ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600 (Ontario), Gambling Support BC 1-888-795-6111, Alberta 1-866-332-2322, and Quebec's Jeu: aide et référence 1-800-461-0140. See our responsible gambling page for the full note.
Read the restricted jurisdictions list first. 19+ in most provinces (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). Play responsibly. Ontario residents: use iGaming Ontario-regulated sites.

Currency and fees
A bonus priced in euros or USDT adds an exchange step. If you pay by Canadian card, your bank may add a foreign-transaction fee of a couple of percent, and a card issuer may block gambling transactions entirely. A €500 cap is not $500; at the exchange rate on your deposit day it will be a different dollar figure. Do this conversion before you compare an offer with a CAD-priced provincial one, and note that crypto adds network fees on top.
A worked currency example
An offer of €500 sounds like $500, but at an illustrative rate of 1.50 Canadian dollars to the euro it is about $750, before any card fee. If your bank adds 2.5% on a $300 deposit, that is $7.50 gone before you spin. The bonus terms still count in euros, so a 30x requirement on a €100 bonus is €3,000 of betting, roughly $4,500 at that rate. Always convert both the cap and the turnover.
Checklist by situation

| In a province with a provincial site | Compare its terms with an offshore offer | Assuming bigger always means better |
| Under the minimum age | Do not register | Using someone else's details |
| Unsure of the operator's rules | Read restricted jurisdictions and ask support | Depositing before you have an answer |
